Thank you Nanette!  Speaking for myself, it's been great.  Not only is it the 4th, but it's our celebration of our mother's 90th birthday (a month ago actually) my niece's 19th (on the 5th) and a family reunion for Mom and her sister and their progeny, 40 family from as far as California and the U.K., Nantucket to Iowa to Maryland and places in between.

Although it would have been better had I not taken my iPhone 6sPlus for a swim.   Not so water proof as the iPhone 7, sad to say.

Sounds like a great day was had by all - some extra special goodies there! Hope rice and the iPhone 6sPlus enjoy each others company for a while and it's working ok when they part ways.

It appears that 48 hours in the rice did not have the desired Lazarus effect.

Check the simm card if it's wet, it's toast.  The guy at the Sprint store said he would fix it for $140, or pay nothing if he failed, after I signed for the 7 Plus.  I kinda wish I would have just tried to fix it or buy the cheapest phone to work with my number, until the next iPhone comes out in the fall.  Oh well.

New iPhone 7+ required.  Water shorted the battery to the circuitry and the whole phone became too hot to touch.  Unfortunately it was on when it went into the water.   I "knew" it was fried, but held on to hope.  Got so hot the socket in to which you plug the charger warped. Couldn't even plug it in.

Enough about that.  Happy 4th and after!
